Spicy Kadai Paneer 







Introduction:

Like to eat something spicy? Kadai Paneer will be a good option.Here in USA, some restaurants serve kadai paneer with gravy while some serve semi dry kadai paneer (subzi kind). Today I am sharing the gravy version of it. Everyone knows the meaning of kadai paneer, but if you are not Indian or not familiar with this then allow me to translate it for you. Kadai = ‘Wok’ (not chinese wok but Indian wok.Indian wok has more depth than chinese one.) Paneer = ‘Indian cottage cheese’. It is very delicious, tasty and very easy to make. I am going to explain you Step By Step with pictures so that you can easily understand and try at home ( Serves 2-3).


Ingredients:
1. Red chillies -3
2. Coriander powder/seeds- A pinch
3. Cashew nuts- little
4. Dry grapes -little

5. Paneer- As per your requirement

6.Ginger Garlic paste- A pinch

7. Onions-2

8. Tomatoes - 3

9. Green chilies-2

10. Green peppers - As per your requirement

11. coriander leaves- little

12. Garam Masala Powder/ Curry Masala Powder

13. Salt- As per your requirement

14. Chilli powder- 1/2 ts( just to make more spicy).


How to make Spicy Kadai Paneer?

1. Take little Cashew nuts ,Paneer , dry grapes and fry it with little Ghee.



2. Now take Red chillies and fry in little oil.


3. Now Grind Red Chillies with Coriander powder.


4. Keep the mixture (Fried Paneer, Cashew nuts and dry grapes) separately.



5.Now take 2-3 ts of ghee in a pan and add Ginger garlic paste into it. Heat for 2-3 min.



6. Add chopped onions into it and fry until the onions color turns into brown. 


9. Add the green chillies and the mixture( Red chillies and coriander powder). Stir it well for 2 mins.




8.  Now take another pan add little oil , take the chopped tomatoes and fry for 2-3 mins.


9.  Grind the tomatoes and make it into a paste, then add it with the onions. Stir it well for 4-5 mins in medium fire.



10. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water into the mixture and also add the boiled Green peppers,a pinch of garam masala powder or curry masala powder into it and continue to simmer for 7-8 mins.


11. Now Add the mixture( Paneer, cashew nuts and dry grapes) into it and stir it well for 2-3 mins.



12. Add little water ( if needed) in order to make it more gravy and finally garnish with coriander leaves.


13. You can serve Spicy Kadai Paneer Gravy with Roti, Naan, steamed rice or jeera rice.


Spicy kadai paneer recipe: 

1. Take little Cashew nuts ,Paneer , dry grapes and fry it with little Ghee.

2. Place it separately and now take little oil in a pan and fry Red chillies.

3. Grind the red chillies with the coriander powder. keep it separately. 

4. Now take little oil and add ginger garlic paste into it.

5. After 2-3 mins add onions and fry until the onions color turns into brown.

6. Now Put the powder ( Red chillies and coriander) and green chilies in the mixture, and stir it well.

7. Now take another pan and add little oil , heat it for 2-3 min.

8. Then add tomatoes stir it well for 3 min in medium fire.

9. Now grind the tomatoes and make it into a paste.

10. Now add the tomatoe paste with the mixture and continue to simmer for 2-3 mins.

11. Add 1/2 or 3/4 cup of water . Add boiled green peppers and add a pinch of garam masala powder or curry masala powder , continue to simmer for 7-8 mins.

12. Add little water ( if needed) in order to make it more gravy and garnish with coriander leaves.

13. You can serve spicy kadai paneer with Roti, Naan, Steamed rice or Jeera rice.
